Ma. Theresa Mendoza-Rivera
Ma. Theresa Mendoza-Rivera is a Communication for Development (C4D) and Social and Behavior Change (SBC) specialist with more than 25 years of experience in the Philippines and other parts of Asia. She has worked on C4D projects for the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, USAID, the World Food Programme, the International Labor Organization and UNICEF in the areas of natural resource management, governance for local democracy, disaster preparedness and response, maternal and child health, road safety and nutrition.
Theresa has conducted qualitative research on, among others, resettlement and livelihood restoration, youth participation in governance, developing knowledge products, participatory training modules and SBC plans for integration into local government programs.
Theresa, who holds a PhD in Communication from the University of the Philippines, is a research fellow for communication and professor at Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines. She is also an associate editor of Media Asia, the journal of the Asian Media Information and Communication Center.
