Mira Mitra

Mira Mitra is a social and behavior change communication (SBCC) specialist with expertise in project management.

Mira worked for 23 years as a UNICEF staff member in Bangladesh in the areas of program development and implementation; quantitative and qualitative research; training and facilitation; and social and behavior change communication. Her field of work includes maternal, neo-natal and child health, nutrition, ECD, education, child protection, gender, the Meena Communication Initiative (MCI).

A Bangladeshi with US citizenship, Mira has MAs in social welfare (Dhaka University) and in health science (Johns Hopkins University).
