Patricia Willocq
Patricia Willocq is a freelance photographer with a special interest in international humanitarian and environmental subjects. She endeavors to avoid “miserabilism” and her work often reflects projects that promote tolerance and dignity.
Patricia’s work has appeared in National Geographic, France Inter, Jeune Afrique, MakeShift and UNICEF Photobook , and has been exhibited at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the Belgian Parliament, the Austrian Parliament and UNESCO among other venues. She has received a honourable mention at the UNICEF Photo of the Year Award 2013, the Alfred Fried Photography Award , One Eyland Photographer of the Year , Prix de la Photographie de Paris , Federation of European Photographers and the American Photography AP 32 .
A Belgian national, Patricia was born and raised in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and resides in Belgium and Turkey.
