Robert Davis
Bob Davis has spent 35 years, mostly in Africa, with WHO, UNICEF, and the Red Cross, all that time spent on child immunization. His most recent work has been with support to 20 Red Cross societies in English- and French-speaking countries in organizing social mobilization to support regional measles elimination goals. He has published or co-published 15 books and articles on immunization, public health, and social mobilization as part of primary health care. He continues to advise the Kenyan government and the UNICEF regional office on strategies for roll-out of the COVID 19 vaccine.
The African Region of WHO recently awarded Bob the title of “Immunization Champion in the African region” for his decades of work in over 25 countries of sub-Saharan Africa.
Bob, a US national, holds a BA degree from Yale University and an MPH from the Johns Hopkins University. He spent an academic year at the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp, Belgium.
