Ryan Muldoon

Ryan Muldoon is an Associate Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Philosophy, Politics and Economics Program at the University at Buffalo.

He has expertise in social norms and behavioral policy design. He was a Core Author of the 2015 World Development Report for the World Bank. He has consulted for UNICEF, The World Bank, UNFPA, WSSCC, and other development agencies, focused on sustainable behavior change, with projects ranging from sanitation to forced marriage.

His academic work has contributed to the understanding of the dynamics of norms, especially in diverse contexts.
