Shayani Weeresinghe

Shayani Weeresinghe is an environmental scientist with over 11 years of experience in the field. She has worked across multiple sectors, including public policy, financial services, corporate public affairs, communications, sustainability and EU-funded bi-regional Science and Technology Cooperation projects.

Shayani's work revolves around project management, resource mobilization, stakeholder engagement and strategic communications in the environmental science domain. She has a proven track record of developing and managing projects and programs in collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including government, private, non-government and civil society partners.

A Sri Lankan national based in Colombo, Shayani holds a BSc Hons in Environmental Science from the University of Nottingham (UK), and is an Associate Member of the Institution of Environmental Sciences (UK).
