Our expanded Associates Program for 2015
We at Rain Barrel are very pleased to begin the new year with a big expansion of our Associates’ Program, adding 26 new individual and institutional associates to our existing roster of 18 collaborators.
In 2012, when we opened Rain Barrel up to friends and colleagues who might work with us, we shifted into higher gear, keeping an eye out for consultancies that would match our expanded expertise and capacity. It’s been a busy time, inspiring us to bring on board Paula Claycomb as our Project Manager to keep assignments on track.
During 2014, we were able to continue our work from our bases in New York and Pretoria and we or our associates were involved in assignments that took us to Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Nepal, Pakistan, Panama and Switzerland.
Several of these projects involved our growing capacity to lead and support projects on Communications for Development (C4D), mainly with UNICEF. And there are a lot of projects in the pipeline that focus on a diversity of issues, from children’s media to xenophobia, communications around ebola, polio and AIDS, to bullying and other forms of violence against children.
Please take a look at Our Associates page to see the complete roster of remarkable colleagues. We welcome your comments and suggestions. And, of course, we will gladly follow up on any assignments you feel may be of interest to Rain Barrel.
