RBC and Arigatou International ink agreement to promote youth inter-faith dialogue
Rebeca Rios-Kohn and Robert Cohen signed a Letter of Agreement on behalf of Arigatou International and Rain Barrel Communications, respectively, to promote inter-faith dialogue among young people in support of an innovative TV and cross-media initiative called My Faith, led by producers in Italy, Singapore, Brazil and the United States.
The My Faith project aims to promote inter-faith dialogue, peace and tolerance by exploring children's diverse spiritual beliefs through their own fresh, unbiased perspectives. The pilot episode has been produced and funds are being raised to produce the remaining 12-minute episodes. The program aims to reach broad audiences, particularly children, parents as well as educators and the general public. The TV series will be accompanied by robust online, social media and classroom components.
The project is being led by Singapore-based M'GO Films and Showlab of Turin, Italy.
Arigatou International-NY will promote the My Faith series and related educational dialogues through its worldwide networks, and Rain Barrel will provide technical advice regarding children's rights, communication strategy and potential partnerships.
In the context of contemporary extremist violence and hatred by groups claiming to act in the name of different religions, we are excited by the potential of this initiative to demonstrate the peaceful and positive commonalities that link different faiths and highlight the curiosity and respect children naturally show toward their peers of different religious traditions.
